Our cogency to apply acute tho ught to the conduct of our lives is what makesmankind more than just an animal with an elicit thumb. These rationalthoughts could very easily lead us to terrible acts, for what is in our bestinterest is often harmful to others. In my case, theanswer is found in rule fig one. So long as I do not prescribe my family at riskof losing a husband and father, justice must be served. It is through this kindof meshing of the four rules that ethical quandaries can be answered.Notic eably, the rules of the code, while existing to serve the cause of skillful and avoid evil, do not make it clear how to know which is which. There isno specific rule that gives a clear definition of what is good and what is evil.This is because the rules, when properly use to an ethical problem, willlead to the action that is good.So then what is good?
